Male looking for a home

Postby Barbara » Fri Nov 12, 2010 7:36 am

Well, it is not urgent yet but will be if I can not find him a home.

Taz is a 5 year old male Beautiful black and tan boy that is still intact :( His owners lost their home and is now living with her mother. They have no yard and the complex is too small to house everyone plus a full size shepherd. So they asked me if I could take him or the pound was next. So he is with me so this is what I know of Taz

Taz is crate trained and has no problem with it.
Taz has been growling at my cats, they never had cats so it could be a new thing.
Taz was taught how to sit, give paw, and go find a place to lay down
Taz is up to date on his rabbies as of yesterday :)
He loves his children
He loves his toys
Loves to chase a tennis ball
Taz was spolied but loved
Taz is full blooded has papers (American and Czech lines)
He weighs about 85 pounds and is about 27 inchs tall

Things Taz will be learning or have done.
started on heart wormer
Shots will be up dated
Paristite cleansing will be started
Obedience training for CGC will be started.

I would like to find him a home that does have older children (like the ones he lost) and a home that will let him be the house dog that he has been for the last five years.

I am asking 100.00 fee so I can have him neutered before he leaves here. if more information is needed please contact me

It's always heartbreaking when a family loses their home and can't take the dog with them.... I was just looking at the available dogs at a shelter, and it's alarming how many are 5 years or older. These dogs have lived their lives in a home with a family, and find themselves in a run with a concrete floor. It's just not fair...

I hope you find him a wonderful home. He's a beautiful boy.

Is Rescue an option for him or what will happen if you can no longer keep him? Will he go to the shelter?

Is Rescue an option for him - Yes, if they have a opening for him. I am just trying to help the Dog out most of all . I know how hard it can be for the older dogs.

Any help would be great :)

Barbara

Thanks everyone - yes he is a pretty boy.
